Thai beer gone legal!

As a lot of us beer enthusiasts may know, craft beer is having a lot of scene in Bangkok lately. Some locally crafted beer are still limited to only selling in their area but not for this mythic crocodile brand.

Chalawan Pale Ale (4.7% ABV) was a brain child of Sukij Thipatima, a veteran in brewing industry, having worked with leading companies like Thai Asia Pacific Brewery and Diageo for over 10 years. He is the mastermind behind this whole operation.

Chalawan started selling on taps since last year before Sukij began to have his beer bottled in Australia in order to import his baby back to Thailand legally. In case are not convinced that Sukij has made one of the best beer, Chalawan has just won a gold award from WBA for one of the best beer in the world earlier this year.

The beer is yellow like lager, sharp and floral in aroma. The taste is malty with some sourness. For those who are interested, the beer is available at Bo.Lan, Err, Rabbit Hole and Tap Bar.
